Alternatives to google AdSense

Many people that know anything about online web content marketing and advertising will know a thing or two about Google AdSense. It is currently one of the leaders in this category and many people may look at it as a great option when it comes to advertising online. Google AdSense serves up advertisements that are actually relevant to the content that is shown on a site. Therefore, as a result, there are many different reasons that many people may want to have it. Not only does Google AdSense allow for relevant information to be shared and distributed, it would allow for a lot of traffic to be generated and as a result attract a lot of potential customers or just viewers. However, there are many people that do not care to give in to the Google market and would rather have an alternative.

The good news for them is that there are actually alternatives to the Google AdSense and that there a quite a number in this inventory.  A good alternative is the Yahoo Publishing Network. Known for going head to head with Google, Yahoo has had a lot of serious competition in the past years. In the mid 1990s through the mid 2000s, Yahoo was actually the premier search engine and mail institute on the web and at this time the yahoo publishing network would have been the best option for may people that are looking for ads on their site. However, with the recent subservience that Yahoo has had to give up to Google in search, and so it also led to giving up in the advertising sector to the internet giant.

At present, the Yahoo publishing network does not come anywhere close to what the Google AdSense does in terms of how much traffic it brings, but it does come close in terms of the quality and the name that it brings. Yahoo is great and may still be second best thing to the Google AdSense program for some publishers.

Then there are other alternatives such as Chitika, AdBrite, Infolinks, AdToll, Bidvertiser, Target Point, Fastclick, Exit Junction and Clicksor among the many other ad networks. There are also others that sell text link ads on sites or make users fill up surveys such as CPAlead. The success with using these networks depends on the niche of your site and your marketing skills in the end.
